can anyone explain Georgia law for time clocks. How many minutes are you allowed before it kicks you to say 8.15 am as opposed to clocking in at 8.05 and getting paid from 8.00am - anybody that can put us straight would be very much appreciated!!

FLSA guidelines accept rounding to 15-minute intervals. The rounding must be done consistently. So, if you clock in at 8:05, you could be bumped to 8:15, but then they would also have to bump you to 5:15 if you clocked out at 5:05.
The law basically states that rounding is allowed as long as it results in the employee being "substantially" paid for all hours worked.
