i was laid off due to lack of work, i was not given a notice or a option ahead of time, i was a full time employee with no write ups or tardys,i was told at the end of shift. the person who hired me in was a friend of mine that was fired 2 weeks prior but we kept in regular touch OUTSIDE of work. i think in order to cut all ties with him i was laid off . is that discrimination? i have since been replaced by several people who were all paid more than me and QUIT the position. but they still have not called me back to work . i think i was laid off for being friends with someone they fired .what can i do?

Nothing that I know off. Being laid off or termination because you are friends with someone else is not an illegal reason and therefore, it does not demand a legal resolution.
