I work for a Mississippi homehealth agency (RN) and all employees are salaried unless they agree to go "pay per visit". If you choose to go PPV, you get 100 extra on call pay (which call is Mon-Sun), paid each visit during the week and on call, plus mileage. They get the same benefits with the exception 1/2 vacation rate pay and can have a case load decrease if census decreases. I am a NON-per visit nurse. I still take call Mon-Sun, get no compensation for being on call, no pay for an on-call visit. I attend meetings for the company that sometime call 16 plus hours of my day. My average week hours are always 50+. I get no extra pay. I was told it was figured into my salary but it has not changed. I do not get comp time either. Is there no avenue to help in this situation? Please let me know.

If by "salaried", you mean "exempt" which, as an RN, I believe you can be under the law, there is no situation under which you must legally be paid any additional compensation over and above your salary.
