Okay... so I know this is all about labor laws, but I was thinking maybe someone knew a link or just so happened to know offhand about moving out at age 17 in Louisiana.
The deal is... in Louisiana, you are considered an "adult" at age 17 (maybe it has something to due with the napoleonic code or something  ) So, if you beat someone up a 17, you are tried as an adult.
Anyways, I am 18 years old and my boyfriend is 19. My friend, who is 17 wants to move out of his house immediatly. My boyfriend claims that it is perfectly legal, no strings attatched. He even says that if you call the police dept. they will escort you out and hold your parents back. I am not so sure it is that easy. Anyone know the real answer?
Replies are much appreciated! Thanks! :p
p.s I don't know if it matters, but sometimes the parish law differs from other parish laws. We live in Slidell, Louisiana under the St.Tammany Parish.
