Would it be considered a wrongful termination if one person out of 6 is a married mom and the other 5 have lengthy writeups for company policy infractions, but the married employee is let go for something FAR more insignificant than the others have "committed", works there for 6 years with nothing but constant merit increases and excellent reviews...amidst a backdrop of comments from the manager stating that the other women are single moms so he's willing to give them more chances....this employee has a second income from her husband, per the manager.....thanks for your input and opinions...

It would depend whether or not you are in a state where marital status is a protected characteristic. It is not protected at the Federal level and only protected in some states.

So, what state are you in?
