From an employer's standpoint--is it legal for employees to work thru lunch in order to leave an hour early? We adhere to a 37.5 hour work week and if we are leaving early then we are only working 32.5 hours. What does the law say?

Are you asking if DC has a law requiring an unpaid meal period? I couldn't find one. Having said that, if you want to allow them to work through their lunch period and go home early, that's your perogative.

I can confirm that DC does not require a meal break of any kind. It's entirely up to you if you want to permit this or not.
