I work at a restaurant in tennessee and someone has been taking money from the register. Whell today i was informed that 90 dollars was missing on a day that i was working (this has happened multiple times I just have never been there). I was then told that he was taking the 90 dollars out of our paycheck because he was getting tired of paying for it. Is this legal?

Generally speaking, no. From the TN website:

Under Tennessee laws deductions can only be taken out of pay if the employee has authorized it either written or verbally.

You can file a complaint with the state Dept. of Labor if he has done this.
