A good friend of mine works in Albuquerque New Mexico. The company does not give him a pay stub with his check. Is that legal? Even if they do not give him a stub, don't they have to show him something, with itemized deductions on it?

Thank you!

Yes, they do. The statement must include gross wages, hours worked, and itemized deductions. A complaint can be filed with the state Dept. of Labor if the employer is not providing such a statement.
