my sons father is to have health insurance on our son. my husband does health insurance on my son but i would like to use both whenever he sick and needs a doctor. i called my son father to try to get the info but he is mad at me because i had a review done on the child support case and won't return my calls. my question is should the child support enforcement have this info about health insurance on hand? i only want it so it saves both of us some money . he pays 78% and me 22% of all dr bills. my ex has never carried any health insurance until now even though it was ordered 10 years ago. the new order went infect 9/05

You can try calling CSE to ask, but they may not know. If they don't have the info (or refuse to give it to you), you can try writing the ex a letter. In the letter include a copy of the court order- hilite the portion ststaing that he carry ins. Tell ex that you need a card for your son and all other ins. info. Give ex a time limit, say two weeks to get info to you. Then explain that if he does not send info within time period, that you will file to have him held in contempt of the court order. Send it by CERTIFIED RETURN RECIEPT MAIL. If he refuses to sign for it, the PO will send it back, with a notation that it was refused. If that happens, then you should file for contempt with the refusal notice as evidence that you attempted to get info. It will take about 20 to 25 days to get it back if he refuses to sign or pick up.
