I am no longer employed with this company and I find out today that someone just walked in and asked for my phone number and they got it. thats crossing the line. I did not want to have contact with this person anymore so I am being forced to change my number. If there is not a law about this there should be. I need some advice

Unless your phone number is unlisted, unpublished AND your employer knew that, no violation took place. The person could as easily have gotten your number out of the phone book. Phone numbers are not private information.
