I work in NC, I work 8 hour days on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's, on Thursdays I work 5.5 hours.

On Thursday, Dec. 22, I worked 8 hours, since my office was closed on Friday, Dec. 23 and Dec. 26, for the holiday. This was approved with my supervisor. When I turned in my time sheet, I imputted the time I worked on each day, for the 23 and 26, I wrote 8 hrs., since I always work 8 hours on those days. My supervisor made me change my time on 23 & 26, to show hrs. worked as 6.7 and 6.8.

My questions is:

Since I normally work 8 hrs. on each of those days, should my paid holiday pay not be for 8 hrs. on each of those days?

There is no Federal law and no law in any state requiring your employer to pay you holiday pay AT ALL.

You are entitled to as much holiday pay as your employer wants to give you.
