I will be 17 years old in march and I will be graduating high school in may in texas. My mother is an acoholic and drug attic and has issues beyond issues. My 20 year old boyfriend is already living with me and my family with my mothers permission, I told her that I wanted to attend utsa but she wants me to go somewhere else and I told her that I was not going to live in a dorm but in an apartment and I would pay for it but now she is telling me I have to stay in a dorm and I know she would do something crazy just to keep me around her so I could do all of her work. I am already graduating a year early, I have a job, and I take care of my little sister and my 89 year old grandmother but my mother doesnt appreciate she is always gone doing drugs and drinking. I need to know if I have to right to live in an apartment and not a dorm and how can I get help, like rehab or anything a quick!!! I dont think I will last any longer!!!! Please help me!!!! :confused: :eek: :mad:

some colleges require freshmen to live in dorms, so cannot answer that
To sign a lease, you would need to be emancipated to be able to do so since you are under age 18 if your parent or other adult will not be a cosignor
