i just have one more question reguarding paychecks. this is one of the things that lead me to resign from my job. payday always falls on my day off.
this happened the wed before thanksgiving. i called dispatch to see if my check was ready. they told me it was but my boss was holding it because he wanted to see me. i told them i had family down and i also had a appointment and i needed my check. dispatch told me that my boss said he had errends to run and he would call me when he had time to see me. well he never called wed, thurs fri, sat or sun. i made several calls to try and reach him and he would never accept my calls. finally mon i went to his boss and got my check within 1 hour. does an employer have a right to try and make someone wait around all day when it is there day off?

Your employer has no legal obligation to give you your check at any particular time of day unless you have a bona fide contract that says otherwise.

Please do not capitalize every word - it makes your post very hard to read.

You asked if the employer could make you wait on your day off. The answer to that question is yes, they can.
