Not quite enough info there to give much of an answer. The UK adoption
searching newsgroup for the UK is news:uk.people.adoption.searching but it
suffers somewhat from lack of interest, can't find anything similar for
Germany. I certainly didn't have much of a problem finding the German part
of my family, one call to International Directory Inquiries did it, but it
was an unusual name and I did have a bit more of a clue where to start, in
that I knew which area of Germany they were last known to be living in.

One organization that might possibly help even though this is not adoption
related is SSAFA, according to its website: 'The national charity helping
serving and ex-Service men, women and their families, in need.' The range of
services SSAFA Forces Help provides include housing, financial aid and
advice, friendship visits and professional health care and social work
services.

My Mothers family name is "Willems" so probably very common. The
combination of her first set of names is probably quite unique but I
suspect she will be only using the first.. Which is also common...

I am not going to rush this search so... One step at a time..

That may be a good idea. I have talked to my father about this search
but I will need to chat a little bit more..

Its not a matter of his 'agreement' but I want to make this a positive
thing.
