I work for a home service provider for a television company (think comcast, directv, dishnetwork). We are payed piece work for jobs completed. We are required to warranty our work for 60 days and fix it for free.

The company has Technicians do other employees go backs, but us technicians have recently found out they will not pay us for them, since technically the originally tech should of been sent out (perhaps it's that techs day off). Also, lets say the problem was customer cause (such as the customer did somethen to the system), if the equipment went bad (such as a bad set top box the company/manufacturer provided, we have even had equipment proven to be defective for band new technology the manufacturer has provided), or if we were sent there because the customer thought something was wrong but in reality there wasn't.....we will NOT be payed for any of this.

I understand not being payed for labor I performed that was faulty, but I dont believe as an employee I am responsible to perform free work for customer service, education, or faulty equipment.

Can anyone provide some information to this topic? This home service provider is state wide and country wide and has over 2500 technicians, I think there is a big issue here.
