I have worked for a convenience store/restaurant in South Carolina for over 2-1/2 years. We are required to work approximately 9-10 hours, on our feet, without any breaks or time off for lunch. Is this legal under SC labor laws?

Yes it is. There are no laws in SC requiring breaks or meal periods for non-minors.

As usual S.C. is always last in line when comes to protecting it's citizens. I think not having a law where employers are not demanded to give breaks or lunch breaks to employees is rediculous. Just like the stupid blue laws! I can't shop untill 1:30 on Sundays and I can't buy alcohol. Why is this? I can go to a bar on Sundays and drink but I can't go to a store and buy alcohol? S.C. needs to wake up and remember we are a diplomatic country WE ARE NOT CHINA!!!

There are a number of states which do not require breaks or meal periods under the law. Lobby your legislators if you want the law changed.
