I have terminated my employment. I gave a "short" notice and saw told I would be done as of that minute. I returned my key, turned in my uniforms at the time and place requested. Now 1 week later, when my 2wk check is due to be picked up, I am told I am not getting it. One week prior to quiting, I fell off the office chair and put my elbow thru the drywall. I repaired it, all three owners saw the repair in progress, said I was fixing it correctly and no mention was made after that. Now they are keeping a 2 week check!!! Is this legal??? :mad:

Are they holding your check because of the damage? No, they can't. Contact the state Dept. of Labor.

I have contacted the Mi Labor Board and they agree. I have filled out the forms, unfortunately that doesn't help me pay my bills while I wait!!!
