Well I am trying to find out some info on the laws here. I am in my first 90 day period at my job. I worked thanksgiving and was told new employees don't get paid time and a half on holidays. Now I am scheduled to work xmas eve, xmas day, new years eve & new years day. All at my regular hourly wage! Is this fair???
It may or may not be fair, but it is legal. Nothing in the law of any state except Massachusetts, and only sometimes in Massachusetts, requires a private employer to pay a premium to employees who work on a holiday.

Paying OT for working on a holiday is a voluntary company-provided benefit and at many places of employment, benefits do not begin until after the probationary or introductory period is completed.

Thanks to you both for responding. I guess I will buck up and kiss my holidays goodbye. I cannot believe in a state where the cost of living is so high, an employer would deny employees a premium rate on thanksgiving & christmas
