Hi, I am single mother with two kids in the state of Illinois. I broke up with my daughter's father because he was on drugs very bad. He didn't care about seeing her until I took him to court. After I took him for childsupport he took me to court for visitation. We never married each other.

I told the judge that he was on drugs and that I did not trust him and he was a threat to me and my child as far as I was concerned and the judge gave this man visitation and on top of that he was not paying childsupport at the time he was granted childsupport. I was very upset because the visitation hours interfered with my time because I was working full time.

Even though it was supervised visitation but still he was not a good influence around my child and still is not. I want to take him back to court for childsupport because he's $7,863 delinquent in childsupport payment but he will harrass me through the court pretending he want to see his daughter. What should I do?

He was granted supervised visitation which was the appropriate action. To have visitation COMPLETELY not granted he would have to be convicted of a very serious crime that put the child in danger and even then it is iffy. This is the child's father and regardless of your thinking the courts try to keep that relationship there if there is ANY indication that one is wanted.

The fact that he wasn't paying child support has nothing to do with visitation because the two have nothing to do with each other.

You have the right to file contempt on the child support and he has the right to visit per the court order. If he continues that and adheres to the court order he will likely be granted unsupervised visitation at a later date.

Okay, he has the right to visit his child. He did not stick to the visitation. that's only because I have not taken him to childsupport in a while. So, now since it's been 2002 the last he visited would I be able to terminated his visitation?

Not likely. It will still likely be ordered to be supervised.
