At my current job, hourly people work 12 hour shifts. The breaks allowed are one 15 minute in the morning, one 20 minute at noon, and one 10 minute in the afternoon. Does this sound ok?

Louisiana does not require that breaks be provided at all, except for employees under 18 years of age. In terms of providing employees adequate rest periods when working that long of a shift, I agree that sounds light but your employer isn't doing anything illegal.

And I would also note that federal law requires that any break of less than 20 minutes must be compensated.
