Well my boyfriend and I want to get married in the future but he need to take care of what is going on between him and his baby's mother. Ok here is how the story goes. They were together for about 4 years and lived together and everything. She put him on child support which is ok I don't blame her for that but then they broke up when the baby was almost 1 years old. She took the baby for about 2 weeks and then dropped her off there. It is now 5 years later and my boyfriend still has the child.And he is still paying child support for her. And the little girl lives with him and he provides for her. While her mother does nothing for her. She see the little girl maybe once every month or every other month. Now the whole big deal is that he is still paying child support. He called the people at the child support office and they told him that they will get back with him in a month. Now what I want to now is how can he go by speeding this process up. And make her pay child support. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! :mad:

File through the court for a custody/child support modification.

He'll ask that physical custody of the child be placed with him and show that he's had the child in his physical custody for the past 5 years (school records, docotr's records, etc. as prrof for this.) He'll ask that the order for him to pay support ot the child's mother be terminated and that an order be entered for her to pay him child support.

And no, he won't get what he's paid to her for the past 5 years back. It was on him to file to stop the child support when he got the child in his physical custody and knew the child would be there for a while (like after a few months, or even 1 year, or 2... not 5 years later).
