I'm new to this page and have been surfing the web for Ohio laws about my paycheck. Heres what going on My previous employer and I had a disput about my hours 4 weeks ish ago It's gone down hill since well he wouldnt pay me and cussed me out on friday 12/2 and told me he wasnt going to pay me untill this weekend 12/9 I know ohio has no laws about time when paid. He fired me on 12/2, and rehired me the next day I quit the day after that. Ok He told me yesterday he would pay me fine... Now I got this job through a Friend of my boss and mine I owe my friend money, my boss gave my friend my paycheck and my friend wants me to sign it over to him for what I owe. HE HAS my paycheck and wont give it to me I can't give him the whole check think about it.... anyways what can I do? Can my boss give someone else my paycheck, My friend is holding it for ransom, what can I do? :mad: :mad:

I would definitely contact the state Dept. of Labor. Although there is no time frame in the law for when you must receive your final check, the check has been issued and given to another without your authorization. Which means you haven't been paid, period.
