In Kentucky is there a law that applies to attending meetings on days off? I work in a 911 Communications Center, we have a staff meeting once a month. I except everyone to attend this meeting, although I have never said it was manditory. If one of my employees has a day off on the date of the meeting, is there a manditory amount of time I have to give them for this meeting. Lets say the meeting lasts 30 mins do I have to let them claim 2 hours for this meeting? Just for the record if they only attend 30 mins I give them the hour.

I swear I just answered this question a day or so ago.

Kentucky does not have any reporting time pay. If the meeting lasts 30 minutes, you only have to pay them for 30 minutes. You do not have to pay them for any more time than the meeting actually took. You do not need to let them claim 2 hours unless the meeting takes 2 hours.
