I am a single mother in mn. I have three children. My oldest is 12 and does not have the same father of the younger 2. I left my younger childrens dad after years of mental, and physical abuse. I filed an order for protection which he broke and went to prison for 16 months. I allowed his family to take the youngest children for a week. It was one month before he got released.
My youngest boy had complained of his penis hurting while in their care. I told them he had a dr appointment in a few days and if it got worse to take him to the er. They took him in without contacting me. There was a single strand of hair stuck around his penis. The dr.'s called it a hair tourniquet. They photographed and questioned my 4 yr old son as to how it got there. Accourding to the dr reports he stated that my oldest did it.
My family and I had to go throw questioning and interviews by social services and the police. My four year old than said it just growed there. Social services did experiments to see if a hair could be tied around something and found it to be extremely difficult. There was a finding of no maltreatment.
Now my 4 year old went to see his father last month. His bottom was sore from diahrrea due to the flu. My ex's family again took him in without me being notified. This time they called first and tried to accuse myself, my dad of abussing him in the phone call. By the time they got the er they again said my oldest abussed my younger son. My children had to stay with his family until they did their interviews. again the police did the interviews and social services. My children were returned home with the help of the police.
Now I just had court because the father wanted custody to be given to his grandparents. Social services was there and said they believed my oldest son and that tying a hair on the younger ones penis would be to difficult and that the children had been sick. The judge still believes my oldest did this thing. He ordered a guardian at liedem for my children to do a report. And I have to keep the oldest supervised at all times around the younger 2. My ex and his family will probably take me to family court and try to gain custody.
sorry this is so long. My question is has anyone left an abuser and dealt with this type of harrassment before? And does anyone know of cases of hair getting stuck around a penis? How often it happens? What can I do to protect my family? I'm out of money for lawyers and am scared for my family as my x was abusive to my oldest son and is afraid he will be to the younger children. I need facts and support. :confused:
