Hello-
I am a per diem employee and worked 25 hours last pay period and was paid for 13. I have left 5 messages over the last week for my boss(who will not answer her phone) requesting this to be corrected . I have called payroll who says there is nothing they can do unless the manager informs them to change the pay. I also spoke with Human Resources who could access my pay records (my boss clocked me in at 7:30PM instead of AM and clocked me out at 8PM so I got paid for 30 minutes instead of 12.5 hrs)but they also can not fix it without manager approval! What can be done???

If you can't go in personally, send a certified letter, return receipt requested. State that if your pay is not corrected by XXX date, you will have no choice but to file a claim for unpaid wages with the state Dept. of Labor and Industries.
