hello, I've been working for a company for about a year now. I only recieve an 1/2 hour unpaid lunch on a daily basis. I usually work from 9-13 hours a day, my previous employer paid me two fifteen minute breaks and a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch for doing 8 hours. Am I getting ripped off for my breaks?
Not under the law, you aren't. CT state law only requires the half-hour unpaid meal break. It does not require rest breaks of any duration.

I've been working with this company for a year. I was transferred unwillingly to go to another store. Come to find out it was to get the managers friend & he wanted him in the same store with him. what i was told by the manager and the district manager was that scince a guy was leaving who spoke spanish they need someone else to help with spanish in the store. I was transferred to the other store and as soon as the managers friend got to that store they had an opening for the position I was doing & someone was hired who spoke no spanish. is this considered as discrimination? if so what are the proper steps to approach this?
No, this is not considered discrimination, since you do not have to be of Hispanic origin in order to speak Spanish, nor is it illegal to transfer someone in order to make room for a friend. Maybe it should be, but it isn't.
