I have had approved fmla for three years for my son who has several chronic conditions. It took me going to my congressman who took it to DC and got an approval and it still wasn't good enough for the post office. Once my congressman took it to the fmla office in PHX it was magically approved and I hadn't had any problems since until now. My papers were filled out exactly the same as the past three years and I got them back requesting info that I can not possibly give. They want to know how many episodes my son will have each month and how many days I will be off. They also want exact dates. HELLO! Like I could possibly predict just when my son's condition will flare up. They also told me that the fmla law says I have to write a statement saying he is my son. Again, hello! If it has been approved the last three years obviously he is my son. In this letter I also have to put what care I will be giving him. My son's doctor put that info on the forms so why is it neccessary for me to do so and when did this become part of the fmla law. The post office is constantly harassing people about their fmla to the point that most just give up and suffer. I can't. I'm all my son has. Please help me with any info you can. Thank you all, cheryl
