My husband's company did semi-annual reviews in September, and most of his staff including himself received a 4-5% raise increase. It's now December, and we haven't seen his increase. Apparently, the company held up the raises, and have not processed them. When pressed for a reason why, he's told it's a slow season, and they are not sure when the raises will go through. What are the laws and regulations on this?

There are none. Unless he has a bona fide contract that guarantees raises at particular times, the only time an employer is obligated to give you an increase of any kind is if you are working for exactly minimum wage, and minimum wage is raised by either your state legislature or an act of Congress.

I understand why you're upset, but the employer is not violating any laws.
