I am very new to california and the us. I'm now on 90 days of introductory period at a comapany in ca. My question is if I'm entitled to get paid for company holidays ie: thanksgiving, christmas. Thanks in advance

That is entirely a matter of company policy. If you work in the private sector, your employer isn't obligated to provide any paid holidays at all. Many employers don't provide holiday pay until after a new employee has completed his or her introductory period.

That depends on whether you are exempt or non-exempt.

If you are exempt, you must be paid your entire salary for any week in which you perform any work at all. Although there are a few exceptions to that law, holidays are not among them.

If, however, you are non-exempt (paid hourly, in most cases) they are under no obligation to pay you for any time you did not work, including holidays. No state law in any state, and no Federal law, requires private employers to provide holiday pay.
