Hi - I'm employed by a company in Mass. that was just bought last week by a company in FL.
Most folks are being/have been laid off, I've been told that I'm part of the 'go-forward team' but have to have a discussion with the CFO about the new terms of my employment. Word on the street is that they are forcing folks to accept a paycut.
How much notice do they have to give before the paycut goes into effect? Also, can they make me sign an agreement at this meeting saying I will accept or be terminated? I'm not sure if I have the legal right to say 'I'd like to think this over' or if they can just terminate me on the spot if I don't sign.
Any help would be appreciated :)
Thanks in advance,
Nicole
