chronic car audio

We work for a small car audio business in Arizona. We are a corporation with investors, but the C.E.O works very closely in the everday run of the business. He has been open for almost 3 years and has never given his employees a Thanksgiving off. They do get Christmas and Sundays off, but that is it...is there a requirement in Arizona for giving holdiays off? Thank you for any and all feedback
No, there is no requirement in any state that a private employer give any holidays off.
I happen to know that this particular employer hires all of his employees as "salaried" regardless of their position or title and requires a large amount of mandatory overtime. They also maintain no hourly records and require that employees work at least 2-3 hours over the close of the business on a regular basis. I was wondering what recourse an employee of this company might have if the employer is exceeding the $500,000 in annual sales requirement that would move them out of the small employer category. Thank you.
And this has what to do with the thread topic?
I don't object to posters hijacking old threads as long as their question is connected to the initial one. But your question really has nothing to do with holiday pay, which is what this thread topic is. Experience has taught us that when this happens, it can get confusing really fast. So if you wouldn't mind, please start your own thread with the new topic, and I'm sure someone will answer it. Just be patient, please; it's a holiday weekend for the responders, too.
Thank you for understanding. :)
