Does anyone know how long it usually takes the labor board to investigate a claim? Is there a number or a way to check on a claim's status? Thanks!

LaborLawNJ 12-01-2005, 12:07 PM What kind of claim? A wage dispute? If so, they vary in length depending on the amount of $$ claimed, the time frame in dispute and the Department's case load at the time. In my experience, you should expect a minimum of three months. When you filed your claim you should have gotten a letter back with a claim number. You can call NJDOL and give them the claim number and they can give you the status. Good Luck! |
