It is impossible to locate anything on regarding labor standards on the Alabama DIR website. However, the majority of states do not have legal requirements for rest breaks or meal periods. In addition, most states also have regulations that prohibit deductions from pay for "drive-offs" and similar losses unless the employee voluntarily authorizes such deductions. Looks like you are going to have to inquire of the Dept. of Industrial Relations directly. You should be able to find a local office in the state government section of your phone book.
I can answer the question about breaks and lunch. Unless you are under the age of 15, you get whatever your employer says you get. AL law does not require breaks of any kind unless you are under 15.
