Unless you suffer an adverse employment action solely BECAUSE of a protected characteristic such as race, gender, age, etc. this is not illegal discrimination.

However, your comment at the end that is was "your responsibility to get the hours", is strange to say the least. I guess the only way you can do that is to meet the productivity standards the employer is requiring. Again, not illegal.

I am on the behavioral health field and I was hired as a BHT because I met te requirements of 4 years of education. When I initially talk to the Director he told me that an AA in Criminal Justice counts towars the education given the fact that i have another AA on Psychology. Well, seven months after they told me that they have to make me a BHTT wich means lower pay of about $3 difference otherwise they will receive a fine because it has to be a BA on the same field either CJ or PSYCH or one of my degrees and 2 yrs of experience and I do not have experience on the field. Is this legal since I was offered the position of BHT and I was hired with a certain wage?
