I think I was physically assaulted at work. Tell me what you think.
A co-worker (somewhat above me) grabbed me and shook me while scolding me like a child in front of other staff. He then lightly swatted my hand (like when you tell a child 'no') while continuing to scold me. I said nothing at the time, and reported it to my surpervisor a few days later when I returned to work. That was three weeks ago and nothing has been done about it. What should I do other than go up the chain of command? I dont expect my immediate supervisor to confront this person and I think that I am at the very least entitled to an apology.

If you feel you were physically assaulted, which I tend to agree that you were, if you were grabbed and shaken, you can file a police report.

You reported it as you should have. You are not legally entitled to an apology. The company is required to make it stop and is not required to give you any details about any disciplinary action against the offending employee.
