Work for an employeer full time. My employeer is part of EEOC. I signed a contract stating that I would only work for that employeer.

A company has hired me to do contract service for them once a month. I take my (earned) vacation day and do the contracted service. This company does not pay me any benefits. I simply do training on their product and they pay me a daily rate.

Now my full time employeer is stating I can't do the contracted work. Can they tell me what to do during my vacation time? They have stated that if I do work I must do it after 5:00 p.m. M-F and/or weekends.

Please advise.

Thanks,
L

Apparently, yes they can. If the contract did not provide an exception, it would probably be enforceable as to this matter. However, you can have an attorney review the contract if you wish.
