My husband & I own a trucking company and do not have any employees right now so I didn't renew our w/c policy. He is now doing disaster clean up in Texas and they are saying he needs workers comp or he can have it withdrawn from his pay. Legally is this correct b/c in Louisiana you cannot get workers comp on just yourself as a business owner or am I mistaken on that as well?
