I work in a resturant as a server and we're requried to tip the bar but I read somewhere that in the state of GA there is no tip share. Is that the law??

And...

If your employer holds a mandatory meeting aren't they required by law to pay you for your time???

any help would be appriciated!

thanks

Mandatory meetings are compensable time under federal law, to which Georgia must adhere.

Re: tip sharing, it is doubtful that Georgia has such a law, since Georgia has very few state-specific employment regulations. Federal law does not address tip-sharing. You should contact the state Dept. of Labor to inquire, however.
