my husband and I have been having problems that have just gone from bad to worse. Now, yesterday things got so bad,it turned physical and he was arrested. Now, it was both of us not just him but they only arrested him and issued an emergency protective order for 7 days even though i said i didn't want one. Is there a way to end this order before the 7 days? My 14 month old son is already wanting to know where his daddy is. any advice would be helpful.thanks

Don't call the police, or do anything that would require that the police be called. It sounds like they are doing standard operating procedure in that area for these kinds of calls to ensure there is a cooling off period.
