Hi, I am 21 years old and suffer from medical conditions. Ever since i had transferred to a new branch in my company in i feel as though i had not been treated properly. I was transferred and went out on short term leave for surgery and when i returned to work for a week or two things were fine. Then out of no where i was getting written up for things i never did. I asked to see me supposively doing these things on the cameras we have at work but i never got to see them. One lady there had been giving me a hard time and i would complain but nothing was ever done. Then one day she quit and it was that same very day my manager called me into her office and was like so kristin was never nice to u, etc. and addressed these problems. Soon after that i was being called in for other things i had supposively done. I denied these things since i was innocent but was still written up. Then i was called in and my manager was saying that i was not doing any work. I have some restrictions she is aware of due to my medical problems, and i was doing my share of work there. i was custodian of the atm etc so there are things that have to be done everyday. anyhow when my vacationtime came up she told me that i shouldnt take it because that would leave me with only a few hours of sick time and that even if i had a medical appointment i could not take a day off as unpaid. Alot of the doctors appointments are hard to get so i have to take what i can get. Also when she had me in her office one day she was raising her voice at me and pointing her finger in my face i asked her to plz not point in my face and continued to do it to intimidate me. anyhow after this day i was put on short term leave i went in one day to tell her my leave was going to be extended and iw as fired for not following proper call out procedure. I was in the hospital once and called when i got out further more i never had a doctors note to return to work so is that legal to fire someone on short term leave. The reason they gave me was that i didnt call out on june 10, however i did and that is the exact day my leave started. Obv i wasnt out partying etc they knew i was having medical condiitions and i may not have been able to call right in the morning on days when i was admitted to the hospital before that date but i always got in touch with her that same day. i tried callilng a few times one particular day and on the other line they acted like they coundnt hear me....i just need someone else's input about all this. thanks for any help or oopinion u may have for me.i live in the state of massachusetts if that helps.
