This is actually more for my brother, because he is being raped by child support, which he shouldn't be paying, but he doesn't want to do anything about it, so I'm trying to find out for him. He was dating this girl. She was already pregnant with her 2nd child(that we knew of) before they even started dating. They got together, and she had the child during their relationship. He(like an idiot) signed the birth certificate as the father(or the 'parental rights' paper, or whatever its called). The baby was actually born in Pennsylvania, but resides in NJ now. Well, my brother has since broken up with her(thank God), and she lives in NJ with this now toddler. My brother has a decent job, but is barely making ends meet because of his stupid decision to sign the parental rights papers. He KNOWS its not his, and would love to get that 600 dollars more a month in his pocket--he's just learned to live with giving away this money to a child that isn't his. I'm fed up with it, especially because the mother isn't deserving of my brothers money. I realize that he is the one that screwed up here, but how can we go about attempting to fix this and make it right? Oh, did I mention that this girl(my bro's ex) is ALSO somehow collecting welfare from both NJ and PA? Yeah, she is total trash, and she deserves nothing from my brother. She just took advantage of a really nice guy(and continues to).

Turn her into child support. Consult an attorney to see if it is too late to file to establish paternity and seek a blood test to ensure the child is not his. It is hard to say if it is too late or not, as that depends more on state law.
