In western kentucky, my wife works for a large hotel as a desk clerk (receptionist). She works an 8 hour shift with no breaks. If she needs to use the bathroom, she must take the phone and take calls still.
Is she not entitled to one 10 minute and one 1/2 hour break? Thanks for any replies.

From KY's DOL website:
Am I entitled to a rest period and do I get paid for this time? You are entitled to a rest period of at least ten minutes during each four hours you work. The rest period is a paid break.
Am I entitled to a meal period and do I get paid for this time? You are entitled to a reasonable period for a meal no sooner than the third nor later than the fifth hour of your work shift unless you and your employer have mutually agreed to some other arrangement. A duty-free meal period does not have to be paid.

Federal OSHA reg's also require employers to allow employees reasonable access to restroom facilities.

If she brings this up and forces it, can she be legally fired? Will the labor board help her? What recourse does she have? Thanks in advance!
