I am a 100 % commissioned outside sales rep in S.C. I am "required" by my boss to work every other Saturday , 8-6 , in a store . I rarely come in contact w / my customers on these Saturdays , however , they do make purchases on Saturdays , and those purchases go towards my commission . (It normally doesn't add up to cover fuel costs one way!) For the past 1 1/2 months , I , along w other reps , have been required to work in the stores doing inventory , keeping us from calling on customers . Is there a limit as to how much time they can require me to work on a task that is NOT directly related to generating my sales / income ? I wouldn't object to the Saturdays if I could spend them calling on my customers ! HELP !!! - This is a Fortune 500 company - I'm feeling "used in sc"

P.S. The company does NOT reimburse for fuel , car allowance , cell phone , etc. I work like an independent contractor .
