I live in California

I have recently found out that OT (overtime) is exempted if you are the child of the employer. I work 35 hours a week on average but only 4 days a week, so i work more than eight hours a day.

My question is if the company is a Corporation (Inc.) does this exempt me from being a child of the emplyer since i am working for the company not for him?

Secondly, This week, i called in sick on Tuesday, and my boss stated that since i was "making my own rules" that i was to take the rest of the week off. Is this legal? Or is there soemthing that needs to be done about this?

Thanks

It doesn't matter what type of legal entity it is as long as your father is the owner of the corporation.

And, it is legal to discipline someone by suspending them without pay.
