Hello all

Thanks for taking the time to read this and help.
Last summer I met a man from NY and we had sex. I am now three months pregnant and I am decided to keep this baby.
My question is: can I seek child support from this man, knowing that I do not know very much about him, except his name and his partial adress.
Please advise, I am in such trouble now :(

You need to wait until the child is born, then can pursue a paternity action to establish paternity, then support and visitation orders. It is up to you what you do, but when you pursue a paternity action, there are also support and custody matters and the father, unless unfit, would be entitled to see visitation and custody rights also.
I suggest visiting an attorney to get a better idea of your rights and the father's rights if he chooses to exercise them.

Thanks for your reply.
But how do we establish the paternity when there is so little information? that's my big concern.
Giving visitation rights to the father is fine, but what can I expect in terms of allowance, given that my income is relatively low and this man is very much at ease?
