We recently purchased a home in Florida. Despite our best efforts to insure we were covering all our bases by hiring a home inspector, this home has turned out to be a real lemon. I am wondering if I have any recourse at this point. We have had plumbing problems, sewage problems, mold in ducts, broken air ducts, needed a new air handler, roof leaks, and so on and so on. Any help or info anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Well, at this point in time, not enough info to answer. Sometimes, folks bring post-sales actions against sellers who were untruthful in disclosing the condition of the home, but at the same time, maybe the condition was taken into account with the price and it was a fixer upper or sold as-is. I also am not sure if you hired an inspector to inspect the home, and most contracts allow for this, so not sure if you can blame anyone for this at this point in time.

Were any of the problems pre-existing, prior to the sale?

Were they disclosed to you? What type of inspection did you do on the house?

Was the house sold "as is"?

How long ago was the purchase?
