Ok so i just recently started a job working at a magazine press. Im an hourly employee there and since i started they make us work 7 days a week, 8hour shifts. Is this legal or is there a law that requires a day off, or is there some way i can get around this as they are not allowing me to attend church, or time to recoop from this and it is causing a lot of stress.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Mandatory overtime required is not illegal in Ohio, they can make you work 7 days a week.

You can try to force the religious issue but be sure to actually be a regular church go-er before attempting, it's still doubtful you'll get very far. It would be possible they grant you that 90 minutes necessary and still require you to return to work, or if it's a 2 or 3 shift plant, they can have you work one of the other shifts. Or they can take the "undue hardship" argument and state that granting the time off would be a financial burden to the company.
