When I moved out of my apartment, the manager provided me a notice of intent to move out and all the early termination fee listed. She then changed one of the concession fee charges to a lower amount and initialed since it was wrong. Then that manager left..
Current manager wont admit the amount changed by the previous manager and said that concession charges were actually higher (they forgot to charge me). No matter what I said next, they told me to take it to court if I am unhappy.
Can they write something and changed it without your consent or take no responsibilities at all of what previous managers have written ?

It depends on your state's law, but if the manager was an employee with authority to bind the company, then the previous manager's accounting should be accepted without later modification. You may have to at least get an attorney and threaten to sue to force the point but by the time you do that, you will end up paying more than the fee. Another approach, if this is a corporation is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, state corporations division usually in the secy of state's office, or take them to court. I suggest consulting a local attorney who may have ideas for cheap resolution.

State is Texas. Previous manager had authority to modify charges, fee or rent. If I understand correctly, by law, current property manager should take responsibility of what previous manager wrote down in legal form (notice of intent to move out). Am i correct ?
