I live in Illinois. Work on commision. A certain unnamed food delivery company. As an example I'll say the business is located in Chicago. We go into the business pick up the trucks and are commishioned on what we sell. We work 12 to 14 hour days. Problem... They are changing our days so we work less hours and split shifts. Well they are requiring us to drive our own vehicles to the site the other guy is, instead of to the business in chicago,we are to meet at the truck in middle of delivery in Aurora. Sometimes you have to drive 30 to 90 miles just to the site. Then they are requiring us to give the keys to our personal vehicles to a coworker so they can drive it back to Chicago and drop it off at the business office. 1st question--CAn they fire me for not allowing another employee to drive my vehicle? 2nd question--Since they are requiring me to drive out 60 to 180 extra miles a day shouldn't they be paying me for mileage? Any answer would be much appreciated. Thanks
