I recently took a test for a level 3-4 maintanice job. Currently I am a city letter carrier.I have been doing this job for over 10 years. My test score came back about 2 weeks ago.When i called to see if i had a chance for 1 of the opening,s that were available,the maintanice boss said i didnt qualify.I asked why,and his response was that I had to many injurys on the job,and to get into this craft,i would have to go injury free for 5 years.I explined to him that all my injurys were work related,and that i have no restiction,s,and that my health is just fine.I have good time and attendance,and I work well with others. He said that didnt matter, and that I would not be considered because of the injury,s.I am currently waiting to file an EEO against the postal service for what I feel is discriminating against me for injury,s i sustained while doing my job. My question is do i have ground,s to proceed with my suit? Please advise. thank you.
